Rohini Sindhuri is an Indian Police Service officer who is known for her exceptional work in the field of law enforcement. She hails from Karnataka and has served in various capacities as an IPS officer.

Sindhuri was born and brought up in Mysuru, a city in Karnataka. She completed her schooling from St. Joseph's Convent Girls High School and later pursued her degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from SJCE, Mysuru. However, she had always been interested in joining the civil services, and hence, she cleared the Civil Services Examination in her first attempt in 2009.

Sindhuri began her career as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and was posted as a Sub-Divisional Officer in Hunsur, Mysuru. She then served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat in Chamarajanagar and later as the Deputy Commissioner of Chikkamagaluru. During her tenure as DC, Chikkamagaluru, she initiated several development projects and was known for her effective administration.

In 2016, Sindhuri was selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS) and was posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Bengaluru. She was responsible for maintaining law and order in the city and played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of women and children. She introduced several innovative measures, such as the Pink Hoysalas, which are police patrol vehicles exclusively for women and children.

Sindhuri's work in Bengaluru caught the attention of the media and the public. She was admired for her courage and dedication towards her work. She was also known for her fearlessness and was not afraid to take on powerful people.

In 2017, Sindhuri was transferred to Ballari as the Superintendent of Police (SP). She continued her work in maintaining law and order and was instrumental in cracking down on illegal mining activities in the region. She also implemented several measures to prevent crimes against women and children.

Sindhuri's work as an IPS officer has won her several accolades and awards. She was awarded the President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2020.

D. Roopa began her career as a civil servant and was posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Bidar. She then served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat in Gadag and later as the Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi. During her tenure as DC, Kalaburagi, she initiated several development projects and was known for her effective administration.

In 2014, Roopa was selected for the IPS and was posted as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Davanagere. She then served as the DCP of Bengaluru City and later as the Inspector General of Prisons in Karnataka.

It was during her tenure as the Inspector General of Prisons that Roopa made headlines. She exposed the rampant corruption and irregularities in the Bengaluru Central Jail and revealed that AIADMK leader VK Sasikala was given special treatment in the prison. Her report led to the transfer of several officials and earned her praise from the public.

Roopa's work has won her several awards and recognitions. She was awarded the President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2016.
